Julia grew up in Italy where her parents served as missionaries until they moved back to the United States when she was sixteen. Going through her own cross-cultural adjustment period when transitioning to an American high school gave her an understanding of some of the experiences international students have. Julia and her husband Steve are excited to share the love of Jesus by opening up their home and hearts to international students in friendship. As program director, Julia hopes to help students feel connected in community with other international students and local volunteers who have a heart for other nations by connecting them both with one-on-one English conversation and friendship partners and through larger group events.
